Lisa Pohlman

Art Director

Office snacks are no match for Lisa, our foodie-in-residence. Long before she became Ligature’s graphic design wizard, her first-ever job was actually dozens of jobs within her family’s restaurant: greeting customers, cranking out egg rolls, sweeping and mopping floors, and lending an extra hand wherever it was needed. These days, she’s balancing just as many plates in the air as she works hand-in-hand with a variety of clients on a multitude of design projects (and she’s happy to end a long workweek with a salty treat or a big bowl of Pho Ga).

Ligature’s flexibility has encouraged an ongoing loyal partnership, giving Lisa more time to flex her creative muscles as a freelance designer, flex her real muscles as a yogi, and dive into worlds of historical fiction (*ahem* books without that musty old-book smell need not apply). She is currently buffing up her web development skills through online coursework with Treehouse.

Before finding her way to Ligature, Lisa held design roles with Craftsy (a DIY knowledge-sharing hub for crafters and artists) and served as a small batch letterpress printer. She is originally from Iowa (75% vowels!) and graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design.

Can be bribed with snacks.
